Classic Cars on Main a success

TORRINGTON – This weekend was the 2024 Scottsbluff Valley Street Rods Classic Cars on Main. More than one hundred cars were lined along main street for the people of Torrington to come and see. 

New changes at GCSD #1

TORRINGTON – Many changes have come to Goshen County School District this year. There has been much talk about the successes of the staff and students. This week, the Telegram sat down with Superintendent Ryan Kramer and his thoughts on what the 2024-2025 school year looks like. 

Suicide Prevention Month in Goshen County

TORRINGTON – September is Suicide Prevention month. A majority of people have been impacted by this in one way or another. This is why it is so important to talk about signs, preventative measures, and ways to keep you and your loved ones safe.

Goshen County Library hosts first Friday event

TORRINGTON – As the schools have gone to a four-day school week, Goshen County has been looking for alternative things for school aged kids to do on Friday. Goshen County Library has been working on constructive activities for local kids to do.

Doggers rout Tigers

The Lingle-Fort Laramie High School Doggers dominated its second conference game against Niobrara County, overwhelming the Tigers.

Five THS golfers snag all-conference honors

Senior Kaleigh Waymire, pictred at the Torrington Invite on September 5, snagged 3A all-conference honors at regionals on Friday.

Five golfers competing on the Torrington High School team garnered all-conference honors at the regional tournament.

Harriers snag gold at Kimball

Junior Sullivan Wilson widens his lead at the front of the pack at the Kimball cross-country meet on September 13. Wilson snagged gold at the event with a time of 18:06.46.

Four Goshen County cross-country runners broke into the top 10 at Kimball, including two gold medalists.

Tennis ends regular season

The Torrington High School tennis team wrapped up the regular season with matches against Rock Springs and Green River.

Lady Cyclones 5-1 at 1A tourney

Junior Taylor Tregemba serves against Pine Bluffs on September 7. A pair of aces by Tregemba helped pull up Southeast against Burlington at the 1A Jamboree on September 13.

The Southeast High School Lady Cyclones dominated the 1A Jamboree over the weekend with five wins.

Lady Blazers snag silver championship at Rawlins

Junior Brooklyn Asmus spikes a kill against an opponent at the Rawlins Invite over the weekend. Asmus tallied 22 kills over the weekend.

The Torrington High School Lady Blazers battled back to earn the championship in the silver bracket at the Rawlins Tournament.

GREELEY, COLORADO – Karen Jean Barber (née Bates), 63, passed away on September 3, 2024, after a sudden illness. She passed while in a Greeley, Colorado hospital.
