MORRLL – Wanda was born on December 13, 1941, in Sparta, North Carolina passed away quietly on June 28, 2024, after a long battle with illness. Cremation has taken place. She grew up in the Smokey Mountains in a family that didn’t have much, but they were never poor. Her parents were Grover Cleveland Adams and Effie Laura (Atwood) Adams and her siblings Viola, Mabel, Betty, Ben, Robert “Ace”, Everett, Page, Dorothy, and Peggy. She married Mack Scott on June 15, 1958, and they were the proud parents of four boys Mark, Mike, Matthew, and Marty.

After moving to Morrill in 1970, she adapted to the western lifestyle and became one of them, except for her beautiful southern accent. She loved chatting on the phone with friends, cooking, and crocheting all kinds of things from custom designed mittens with trigger fingers for her boys to hats and afgans. Family fishing and camping trips were always anticipated, and she holds the record for the largest fish caught by the family. Along with raising the family, she helped out on the family farm. Cleaning pig feeders and carrying irrigation pipe with the boys were common activities to see her in.

She is survived by her sons Mark, Matthew, and Marty, ten grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband Mack and son Mike.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Foundation Fighting Blindness in her honor at https://www.fightingblindness.org/. A celebration of life will take place August 3 at 3 p.m. at the American Legion in Morrill.
