YODER – Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle accident on US Highway 85, near Springer Lake on Sunday, June 30 at 8:56 p.m.
According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on a stretch of the highway which was recently chip sealed. There were no serious injuries reported and all vehicle occupants refused emergency transportation to Torrington.
According to Wyoming Highway Patrol Trooper Shawncey Day, the crash occurred when the vehicle traveling north, struck the south-bound vehicle after crossing the center line. Cruise-control, rain-slick roads and the freshly chip sealed roadway were the contributing factors.
“Highway 85 was closed while the wreck was being cleaned up,” Day explained.
