The City of Torrington will hold a public hearing for the community’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) activities, with the proposed funding made available from the Wyoming Community Development Authority (WCDA) CDBG Program. The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. during the regularly scheduled City Council meeting located at 436 East 22nd Avenue, Torrington, Wyoming.
The purpose of the public hearing is to solicit public view, comments, and recommendations for a potential grant application for WCDA’s CDBG Program.
The Wyoming Community Development Authority will accept applications until Friday, September 27, 2024 at 5 p.m. WCDA expects to have approximately $3,521,015 available for housing related activities within the State of Wyoming. Eligible activities include acquisition of real property, rehabilitation of public facilities, publicly owned infrastructure improvements, clearance, demolition and removal of buildings, improvements to public facilities, and planning activities. At least 75% of activities must result in a direct benefit to low (50% of HUD’s AMI) and moderate (80% of HUD’s AMI) income persons.
Interested persons are invited to attend, participate in the process, and provide comments in support of or in opposition to the potential grant application.
