MORRILL – Wayne was born in Morrill to Wilhelm and Eva Lind. He was the youngest of 14 children. He is survived by his last remaining sister, Helen VanWyngarden, who resides in Arvada, Colorado.
He graduated from Torrington High School in 1956. He enlisted in the army in January of 1957 and was honorably discharged in 1959. He attended Scotts Bluff College for a period of time and then began training with American Optical. In 1960 Janet Coen and Wayne Lind were united in marriage in Torrington. They have two sons, Rick J. Lind of Maricopa, Arizona, and Mike T. Lind (Laura) of Denver.
They moved to Fort Collins, in 1969. He owned and operated Lind Optical for 28 years in Fort Collins. Wayne was an avid sportsman. He played basketball, softball, and golf. After retiring they moved to Maricopa where they have lived since. He is survived by his wife Janet, two sons, two granddaughters and one great granddaughter.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
