Area fire crews responded to a grass fire on Monday afternoon near Fort Laramie shortly after a thunderstorm had rolled through Goshen County. According to a Facebook post at 6 p.m., Pine Ridge Ranch has been evacuated and crews from Fort Laramie, Lingle, Torrington, Yoder, Jay Em, La Grange, Prairie Center, and Veteran were on scene. A single engine air tanker (SEAT) was also called in to assist firefighters with containment. According to a Facebook post from Yoder Volunteer Fire Department, the fire is estimated to be 1250 acres and as of print time Tuesday morning, there has been no containment.
