YODER – The Southeast Cyclones will serve as host for the SEWAC middle school boys’ basketball tournament to be played this weekend.
The Cyclones are coming into the final weekend of their season hot. They posted a 10-0 record during their regular season, earning them the top seed for the tournament this weekend. Behind Southeast, Pine Bluffs has the second seed, Lingle-Fort Laramie is third, Lusk is fourth and Burns is fifth.

“We have had a good season. We have played some good teams,” coach Tim Eissenbarth said. “We are just built for basketball.”
The Doggers enter the tournament with a 5-5 record from their regular season. According to head coach Jeshua Arnusch, this is the first time LFL has reached the SEWAC tournament in his three years at the helm of the program.
“I just want to see the kids play more high tempo. We are a run and gun team,” Arnusch said. “We aren’t the tallest team, but we are pretty quick. That’s been our whole storyline this year.”
The action will start at 9 a.m. Saturday in Yoder. LFL’s first game is against second-seeded Pine Bluffs and Southeast will play either Lusk or Burns. The Broncs and Tigers competed in a play-in game on Thursday after press deadline. The championship game and third-place match up with both be played at 11 a.m.
