CHEYENNE – The Eastern Wyoming College volleyball team wrapped up the regular season with a 3-0 loss to Laramie County Community College on Friday evening.
The LCCC Lady Golden Eagles knocked off the Lady Lancers 25-13, 25-11, 25-16.
Freshmen Avery West and Hannah Pharr led the team with six kills. Freshman Pandora Keele and freshman Viktoria Sarbakova tallied three assisted blocks each, while Sarbakova recorded a team-high eight digs. Sophomore Halle Hogan handed out 10 assists.
The loss ends the Lady Lancers’ regular season with a 3-21 record, and the Lady Lancers came up short of qualifying for the Region IX Tournament with the new format of taking the top four from both the North and South divisions.
The Region IX Tournament will be held in Casper at Casper College’s Erickson Thunderbird Gymnasium, beginning Wednesday, Nov. 2 and running through Saturday, Nov. 5.
