After the exercise was complete, first responders were then given feedback on their performances.

The campus at Eastern Wyoming College has been busy this week with a regional active shooter training drills for regional emergency departments. During the training, police officers, sheriff’s deputies, highway patrol troopers, fire department volunteers, emergency medical technicians. Once the mock shooter was subdued, law enforcement began entering the building in the mock drills held at the college campus this week.

According to Thom Bozeman, Goshen County Emergency Management Coordinator, additional trainings for next year will involve other community-type buildings.

During the drill, a gun jammed as law enforcement performed a sweep.
