TORRINGTON – The Torrington Trailblazers golf team hosted a meet Friday at the Cottonwood at Torrington golf course, with Torrington snagging the top-spot for both the boys and girls.
Kash Kaufman shot the lowest score of anyone, carding an even par 72 to take first in the boys division. Jayce Eaton tied for eighth in the boys division with a score of 83. Cameron Murphy recorded an 88 and Jackson Jones came in at 107.
Caleigh Essert paced the Lady Blazers, shooting a 79 to stand atop the podium. Laura Halley turned in a 94, earning her fourth, with Kaylee Wilson coming in fifth with a 96. Kenna Noble squeaked into the top-10, snagging 10th with a score of 106. Rounding out the top-five for Torrington, Jade Reinhardt turned in a 122. Audrey Perry also had a 132 on Friday.
The Lady Blazers picked up the team win out of the almost 10 schools in attendance.
The Blazers close out the regular season Friday in Wheatland.
