PUBLIC NOTICE

BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS of
GOSHEN COUNTY, WYOMING
                                                         Tuesday January 21, 2020
    The Board of County Commissioners of Goshen County, Wyoming met in regular session on the above date at 9:00 am at the Goshen County Courthouse in the Commissioners Chambers with the following members present,  Vice Chairman Cody Cox, Pinky Walter Commissioner and Cindy Kenyon, County Clerk and Clerk of the Board. Chairman Ellis was absent. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner Walter moved to approve the agenda and minutes of the last meeting, seconded and passed.
    The Sheriff’s report was accepted from Sheriff Fleenor. The Sheriff presented a contract with the Wyoming Department of Corrections to hold inmates up to 90 days for intensive out-patient treatment. Commissioner Walter moved to approve the contract as presented, seconded and passed. The Sheriff presented his earnings report in the amount of $1085.00. Commissioner Cox moved to accept the Sheriff’s report, seconded and passed.
    The Treasurer’s Report was accepted from Leticia Dominguez.  Commissioner Walter moved to approve the County Treasurer’s Report, seconded and passed.
    The County Clerk’s report was accepted from Cindy Kenyon. Commissioner Walter moved to approve the updated warrant report as presented, seconded and passed.
    The County Assessor presented Reduction Orders in the amount of $2215.10. Commissioner Walter moved to approve the Tax Reduction Orders as presented, seconded and passed. Commissioner Walter moved to approve the Assessor’s report, seconded and passed.

    Two resolutions have been presented for approval prior to the meeting. Commissioner Cox read Resolution 2020-01 a Resolution Appointing a Special Prosecutor. Commissioner Walter moved to approve….
    Lonny Luke and Mac Sussex of the Hawk Springs Fire Prevention District presented Resolution 2020-02 a Resolution in Support of the MRG Grant Application to the State Loan and Investment Board for the Purchase of a New Brush Type Fire Truck. Commissioner Walter moved to approve Resolution 2020-02 as presented, seconded and passed.
    Steve Blundell with ACM LLP (auditors) and Ron Russell (GASB consultant) presented the Audit of the fiscal year ending June 30, 2019 financial statements. Commissioner Walter moved to approve the audit as presented, seconded and passed.
    The budget amendment hearing was held as advertised. Fair manager Stephanie Lofink described the Fair budget amendment which will account for requesting fair donations earlier than usual so her amendment is for expenses in the fall of 2020 fair. Amy Schmick is the new fair show coordinator. The following amendments were presented:

Commissioner Walter moved to approve the amendments as presented, seconded and passed.
    The meeting adjourned at 11:05 am. Departmental reports and minutes are available online at goshencounty.org or at the County Clerk’s Office. The next regular meeting will be held Tuesday Feb. 4, 2020. Approved for publication.
