Lady Lancers fall twice on the road

CASPER – The Eastern Wyoming College traveled west to Rock Springs and Casper for matches against Western Wyoming Community College and Casper College.

On Friday, the Lady Lancers fell 3-1 to Western Wyoming 25-12, 24-26, 25-21, 25-20.

Freshman Ana Djurovic led the team with 15 kills, while sophomore Makenna Reinert had nine. Freshman Viktoria Sarbakova dished out 19 assists, while sophomore Halle Hogan had 14. Freshman Keelie Bunker tallied a team-high 18 digs, while Djurovic had 16. Reinert recorded the team’s lone solo block of the match, while freshman Hannah Pharr had six assisted blocks.

The next day, EWC was swept by Casper 25-19, 25-21, 25-18.

Reinert led the team with nine kills, while freshman Avery West had eight. Hogan had a team-high 12 digs, while Djurovic and West had one block each.

The Lady Lancers (3-20) wrap up the regular season Friday, Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne.
