LUSK – The family and friends of a 41-year-old mother of seven, Natasha Requejo, are growing concerned as yet another month has officially passed since anyone has had any form of contact with Requejo. 

According to the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigations, the last contact anyone had with Requejo was on July 19. She spoke with her best friend, Andrea Gustafson, on the phone. 

“She was in Torrington with her boyfriend and said she was on her way home (to Lusk),” Gustafson said. “She seemed to be under the influence of something, but she seemed happy and ready to come home.” 

Gustafson explained although it is unknown whether Requejo was in active drug addiction, Gustafson did mention Requejo did have a history of drug use at one point. Requejo also has a history of medical conditions which include a seizure disorder. Requejo has been prescribed medication for her seizures. 

“She would have to be out [of her prescription] by now,” Gustafson said. “She would usually have a seizure when she got stressed out and then she would be confused.”

Amanda Roesch, another of Requejo’s friends, wrote a Facebook post pleading for the community’s attention on September 30, two months after Requejo was reported missing. 

“Tosh (Requejo) called me to pick her up so she could come hang out at my house,” Roesch explained. “[She] said she was waiting on Tim (Requejo’s boyfriend) to get off work and he’d be there to get her. Well, he never showed up that night. Friday, he showed up after I had went to work, so [in the] evening hours.”

Roesch explained Requejo had texted her on July 18 when she stated Requejo told her friend she was uncomfortable in her situation and according to Roesch, there was obvious tension between the couple. 

“They had already made plans to run back to Lusk and return to T-town (Torrington), so we were under the assumption they’d be back. Well, from what I have been told, they got to Lusk and Tim ran inside (their house) and when he returned to the car, she and all of her things were gone,” Roesch explained. “Her ex and children put a missing person’s report three or four days later and shortly after Lusk Police Department said there was sightings of her in Casper but no proof. Still, no one has heard from Tosha that normally hears from Tosha.” 

“It was brought to my attention that Natasha had been staying in Lingle and then a friend had come down and picked her up from the house,” Lusk Police Department Chief, Jacob Gordon, said. “What happened was, she came back up to Lusk and then she left with an individual here, from Lusk.” 

“It has been past 60 days now,” Gordon said. “Two weeks after she (Requejo) went missing, someone said they thought they saw her walking down the sidewalk in Casper, I believe it was two weeks. Then another two weeks after that I checked in with an employee at a gas station in Evansville and I had sent him the poster because someone had said she was seen at that gas station and then across the street at the motel. I did check in with him and he said, ‘That was 100% her,’ so she had stopped in at that gas station and I believe that was approximately four weeks after she went missing,” Gordon explained. “And then nothing.”  

Gordon explained Requejo’s disappearance wasn’t unlike her however being gone for nearly 90 days wasn’t a normal situation.

“Now, it’s not weird for her to have left like this but the length of time is weird. She has done this in the past to her family where she leaves for about a week, a week and a half and then she will show back up again. Her not showing up again is definitely not right,” Gordan explained. “She left, it was Friday, July 19, when she was last seen leaving town with an individual who is believed to be out of Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Two weeks later she was seen walking in Casper and two weeks after that she was seen by the gas station employee.”

Longtime friend and advocate, Thomas Mitchell expressed he was extremely concerned about Requejo.

“Natasha had a real hard time acclimating to even a new house in the same town. It’s just different,” Mitchell said. “It would take her a few months just to get used to a different house and call it home. So, I know she didn’t run away.” 

July 19, according to both the police department and the family and friends of Requejo was the last known contact Requejo has had with anyone in her circle.

“July 19 is the last text message, last Facebook [post], last known words,” Mitchell said.

Requejo is described as a Caucasian, 5’4, 120-pound female with hazel eyes. Requejo’s hair was purple at the time of her disappearance.
