TORRINGTON – The Torrington High School volleyball team wrapped up the regular season on Thursday at home.

The match didn’t go well as the Scottsbluff (Nebraska) Lady Bearcats limited the Lady Blazers to only 32 points over three sets.

Scottsbluff handed Torrington a 25-6, 25-13, 25-13 loss – the Lady Blazers’ 12th straight loss.

Senior Marissa Moorehouse led the team with five kills, while junior Alyssa Albaugh and sophomore Olive Osmera had three each. Albaugh and Osmera also had one assisted block each, while sophomore Jaycee Hurley and senior Kalissa Reyes had eight digs each. Reyes also led the team with seven assists.

The Lady Blazers head to the 3A East Regional Tournament in the midst of a 12-match losing streak and look to pick up their first win since Sept. 29.

They open the tournament as the No. 4 seed from the Southeast Quadrant, and Torrington (3-15) faces Buffalo (18-11-1) in the opening round at 3:15 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28.

It will be the third meeting between the two teams. The Lady Bison picked up wins over the Lady Blazers on Sept. 9 at the Rawlins Invite and on Oct. 8 in Buffalo.
