TORRINGTON – Funeral services for Helen Mae Arntt 92, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2023 at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor Scott Firminhac officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Helen died June 1, 2023 at Banner Community Hospital. Memorials may be given to the Arthritis Foundation. Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. to noon at the funeral home and the casket will be open prior to the service at the church. Helen was born December 24, 1930 in Yoder, the daughter of Adam and Katherine (Henkel) Brockel. She received her early education in Yoder and finished in Torrington. She married George Arntt on April 2, 1948 in Torrington. They lived in Torrington for a while before moving to Hereford, Texas when George got transferred. After his retirement they moved back to Torrington in 2006. George died in 2012.
Helen was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.
Helen is survived by a son Richard (Jennifer) Arntt of Torrington; three daughters Linda (Marvin) Fulk of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Sandra Short of Lubbock, Texas and Georgia (Tod) Cameron of Amarillo, Texas; five grandsons; two granddaughters; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters; two sons-in-law; and an infant grandson.
