TORRINGTON – Private family services for Dorothy Lucille Rinehart, 85, will be held at a later date. Dorothy died at Goshen Healthcare Community on October 25, 2017 and cremation has taken place. The Colyer Funeral Home assisted the family with the cremation arrangements.
Dorothy was born May 16, 1932, in Brighton, Colo., the daughter of Edmond and Mary (Krantz) Weickum. She married Elmer Rinehart and they lived in Torrington. She worked as a painter and paper hanger for Ted and Loretta Herdt for 20 years.
Dorothy is survived by three sons, Rick (Paula) Rinehart, Bruce (Debbie) Rinehart and Tab (Angela) Rinehart all of Torrington; three grandchildren, Anthony “Hawk” Rinehart, Cody (Kayla) Rinehart and Lisa Marie Dermer; and six great-grandchildren, Anna Morgan, Kaden Rinehart, Chevelle Rinehart, Nova Rinehart, Avery Rinehart and Isaac Rinehart. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
