STURGIS, S.D. – Charles, (Charlie) Bryan Mitchell passed away in August of 2020 in Sturgis, S.D.  He was born in Tampa, Fla., on April 1, 1970.  He later moved to Torrington where he graduated high school.

He worked as a cook at the Kings Inn in Torrington with his father, Charles Mitchell and his brother, Chad Mitchell for a while, but Florida and the water never left his blood, so he pursued a career as a Marine Technician and he was a damn good one!  He held every certification he could get his hands on!  We are still so proud of him!  He worked in Glendo at the Glendo Marina as a Marine Technician for many years to follow.

Charlie loved life, women, music, drinking, and boats… in that order!  He also loved to travel!  He especially loved San Francisco, Calif., and he dreamed of someday going back there.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Clark Mitchell.  He is survived by his mother, Jody Ann Diana, his brother and sister-in-law, Chad and Lupe Mitchell, his sister Trudy Robinson, his sister and brother-in-law David and Renee Fender, and his niece and nephews, Caitlin Mitchell and Cody and Colton Fender.  He also leaves behind and extensive family throughout Florida and Nebraska.

Charlie our hearts are so deeply saddened that you were taken from us way too soon.  But, we also know that now you no longer have to endure the heartaches, pain, and burdens this world unfairly put upon you.  A weight has been lifted from your soul and you are finally free.  You are in heaven, a better place, and we will see you again!  Love, prayers, and tears…. We miss you so much!

“My son, you left us way too soon.  I will continue to mourn and miss you for the rest of my days.  I feel in my heart that you have found peace in heaven with the lord. Love, Mom.”
