Betty P. Klipstine

Betty P. Klipstine, 91, passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, at the Platte County Legacy Home in Wheatland.  

Betty Klipstine was born on Sunday, Sept. 29, 1929 in Cheyenne, the daughter of George and Marian (Lewis) Barnhart.

Betty graduated from Guernsey High School.  She married Walter J. Klipstine on June 20, 1948 in Guernsey.

Betty enjoyed cross stitch, selling Avon, and loved to go fishing in the mountains.  She worked at the guard camp during the summer months in Guernsey for many years.  What Betty loved most was her family, they were very special to her and she loved spending time with them. 

She is survived by her children, Karen Sheperd of Topeka, Kansas and Mike (Sonja) Klipstine of Guernsey; two granddaughters, Shannon Genau of Topeka and Tiffany (Andy) Gardner of Guernsey; and five great grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Klipstine on February 29, 2012; parents; siblings; and a great grandson.

The family wants to thank the Legacy Home for all the amazing care and love shown to their mom.

A memorial to the Platte County Legacy Home, 100 Nineteenth Street, Wheatland, WY 82201 would be appreciated by her family.
