EWC Foundation accepting nominations for two awards

TORRINGTON – The Eastern Wyoming College (EWC) Foundation will be accepting nominations for two distinguished awards; the Distinguished Alumni Award and the Albert C. Conger Award.

The Foundation will be taking nominations for both awards until April 5, 2024, and will be presented at the spring graduation ceremonies.

In regard to the Distinguished Alumni Award, the requirements for nominations include an exemplary achievement in one’s profession, academic activities, and in civic and community service. The nominee should also attribute any such success to their time at EWC. Individuals who are nominated but not selected during a given year will be considered for at least two additional years.

In relation to the Albert C. Conger Award, criteria examples to be nominated should include fantastic leadership and significant accomplishments in a college role, as well as major financial support for the school or college division at the discretion of the Foundation. The award can be awarded to one individual or several such as a family or couple, with contributing efforts to academics, professional, or civil activities which have enhanced EWC and its students. Previous recipients of this award are considered eligible, while alumni status is not required for consideration.

Individuals or individual corporations may be nominated by any member of EWC faculty, staff, Board of Trustees, Foundation Board of Directors, or the public.
