Yolanda was born Oct. 30, 1950, in Chadron, Neb., the daughter of Alfred and Marie (Edwards) Hallsted.  She was known to many as “Pete,” a name that was given to her by her father.
Pete was raised on Dead Horse Road, attending Chadron Public School and beauty school in Gering.  After working at the Candy Stripe, cutting hair in Scottsbluff, Neb., she returned to Chadron.  She opened her own home daycare for a few years because she loved children.  Pete also worked at the VFW for several years.
In 1990, she met Eldon Bartlett and the couple married in 1993 in Rapid City, S.D., where they resided until they moved to Torrington in 1995.
Pete and Eldon are members of the Bethel Baptist Church of Torrington, which they enjoy.
She loved to crochet, play bingo, go bowling and travel with Eldon. She specially loved playing with her grandchildren most of all.
As the “rock” of her family, she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her beloved husband Eldon; daughters, Shannon McGannon and Lori Johnson; step-daughters, Kerrie Lippman, Katrina Castro and Karissa Wright; sisters, Marlyn DeHaven, Carol Barber and Cindy Peters; brother Gary Hallsted; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; a son; a brother; and a sister.
