Thunderstorm, flood watches effective for southeast Wyoming

CHEYENNE – The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of eastern Wyoming, including Goshen County, until 9 p.m. Monday.

Potentially severe thunderstorms are forecast across southeast Wyoming and the western Nebraska Panhandle this afternoon and evening, developing along and west of the Laramie Range and increasing coverage and intensity as they track northeast late afternoon and into the evening.

The storms will be capable of producing severe weather hazards, including strong, straight-line winds, large hail, flash flooding and possibly isolated tornadoes.

The region is also under a Flash Flood Watch through this evening.
