CHEYENNE – The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for portions of southwestern Goshen and northeastern Platte counties until 3:30 p.m.
At 2:42 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located on radar over Bordeaux, nine miles south of Wheatland, moving northeast at 25 miles per hour. The storm has the potential for 60 mph wind gusts and half-dollar size hail. Wind damage to roofs, siding and trees and hail damage to vehicles can be expected with this storm.
The National Weather Service recommends moving to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. It is further advised to seek shelter immediately and to stay away from windows.
