AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE APPROPRIATION OF MONEY BY THE CITY OF TORRINGTON, WYOMING, TO MEET ITS GENERAL FUND REQUIREMENTS AND OBLIGATIONS, TO MEET ITS ENTERPRISE FUND REQUIREMENTS AND OBLIGATIONS, FOR THE 2022 FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 2021 AND FIXING THE SUM TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TORRINGTON, WYOMING:
SECTION 1. The following sums of money are hereby appropriated out of unexpended balances of the Fund Accounts and from estimated revenues, including Ad Valorem Tax Revenues, the total sum of $35,110,987 as follows:
General Fund Requirements: Mayor & Council 460,222; Municipal Law 258,007; City Clerk/Treasurer 951,340; Maintenance 156,506; Lincoln Complex 326,443; Police Dept/911/Communications 2,740,584; Fire Department 290,535; Engineering 456,477; Storm Drain Maintenance 8,265; Streets & Alleys 845,890; Vehicle Maintenance 266,363; Community Projects 113,042; Parks & Recreations 350,368; Museum 132,054; Industrial Park 600,000; Museum - Kelly Trust 47,500; Special Construction Proj 293,570; Total General Fund Requirements 8,297,166.
Water Fund Requirements: Power & Pump 590,782; Metering 175,763; Distribution & Administration 1,699,960; Water Fund Projects 6,322,573; Total Water Fund Requirements 8,789,078.
Sewer Fund Requirements: Operations & Maintenance 1,793,048; Construction Projects 3,256,500; Total Sewer Fund Requirements 5,049,548.
Electric Fund Requirements: Purchasing 173,559; Metering 230,463; Production - Wholesale Power 4,979,534; Distribution 2,756,022; Construction Projects 0; Total Electric Fund Requirements 8,139,578.
Sanitation Fund Requirements: Collection 1,399,494; Recycling 0; Disposal 922,479;Total Sanitation Requirements 2,321,973.
Other Fund Requirements: Airport Fund 662,457; Golf Course Fund 696,778; Swimming Pool Fund 206,347; Ambulance Fund 670,975; Cemetery Fund 277,087; Total Other Fund Requirements 2,513,644.
Total Appropriations:$35,110,987.
SECTION 2. The sum of $329,118 shall be raised by taxation for the current expenses of the General Fund requirements for the said City of Torrington, during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2021.
This ordinance was passed and approved by the City Council of the City of Torrington on June 15, 2021. All ordinances are available for viewing Monday through Friday 8 A.M. to 4 P.M. at City Hall located at 436 E 22nd Ave., Torrington, WY.
