2017 A Year In Review

TORRINGTON – This Friday and Saturday, take a step back in time with Torrington High School’s (THS) production “Little Women”. The musical – once featured on Broadway – brings Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel to life, intertwining song and the story of four sisters and their mother making due while the family patriarch fights in the Civil War.
The THS crew began working on the detailed set in February.
“We actually had the set built prior to the Torrington Middle School (TMS) production (earlier this year) and shared it with TMS. Then, after their production, we repainted it all for ‘Little Women’,” set-tech director Chris Quillen said. “We had to have everything mobile – on wheels – due to other events happening on the stage, (including the) TMS musical, choir, band and elementary concerts. Finally, this week, we bolted all the separate mobile walls together so that it is stationary and finished the final touches.”
