The newspaper published an article regarding residents’ and business owner’s responsibility for snow removal (City reminds residents of snow ordinances, Jan. 3, Torrington Telegram). Warnings being issued and possible fines of up to $750 and legal fees.
What is the county/city responsibility to its residents and business owners for making the streets passable and safe? The conditions of the streets after this last snow storm – what snow removal? Some streets for cars were impassible. (Residents were) lucky to see a handful of sand being put down.
What ordinance is good for some evidently doesn’t apply to others – i.e. the city and county providing services for its residents.
