TORRINGTON – Judith Lee Widga, 75, of Torrington passed away on June 5, 2021. She was born in Hastings, Nebraska, in 1946 to Joseph and Betty (Willey) Perrella. Arrangements are under the direction of the Colyer Funeral Home and friends may send condolences to the family at www.colyerfuneralhome.com.

Judy was a sweet and loving soul. She was a dedicated wife and mother to Den and Nikki. Den was her true soulmate and they shared 50 wonderful years of marriage. Nikki was her joy and purpose. She was an attentive mother by Nikki’s side at all times and never missed even one of her horse shows. She reveled in spending time with her family including their many pets. Judy was a people person and so loved her job as a Customer Care representative in a bank. Helping people fulfilled her. Judy was also very creative and spent hours knitting, crocheting and making ceramics. Her creations were gorgeous. Judy was not a quitter in any way. Even when medical issues arose in her life, she handled them with strength and grace. Judy’s passing came on the day of her and Den’s 50th wedding anniversary. She will be missed.

Survivors include husband Dennis Widga (Torrington), daughter Nichol Widga (Denver, Colorado), sister Rochelle Olsen (Lincoln, Nebraska) and brother Mark Perrella (Boston, Massachusetts) along with nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by parents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be Thursday, June 10, 1-3p.m., with family present at the funeral home. Celebration of Judy’s life will be on a later date at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sutton, NE with burial at Swede Plain Cemetery in Polk, Nebraska. Memorials to the American Diabetes Association.
