TORRINGTON – Funeral services for Joseph Lynn Reichert, 54, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2017, at the First Wyoming United Presbyterian Church with Pastor Rick Carroll and Reverend Vickie Kintzel officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. He died early Saturday, June 10, 2017.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family for Joe’s grandchildren’s education fund. Arrangements are by the Colyer Funeral Home and condolences may be sent to www.colyerfuneralhome.com.
Joe was born Jan. 27, 1963, in Torrington, the son of Fred and Delores (See) Reichert. He grew up and received his education in Goshen County, graduating from Southeast High School in 1981. He married Deb Smith on Jan. 28, 1984, in Torrington. He worked for nine months for a farmer/rancher and then started working for Smitty’s Repair, where he worked until 1996, when he decided to pursue his true passion and started farming. He farmed until 2009 when he went back to work for Smitty’s, but continued to farm on the side.
Joe enjoyed fishing, hunting and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Joe is survived by his sons Dustin (Kristina) Reichert and Jacob (Sara) Reichert all of Torrington; his parents Fred and Delores Reichert of Torrington; a brother Patrick (Leatha) Reichert of Veteran; a sister Sarah (Lynn) Stoll of Hudson; and grandchildren Taytum, William, Novalee, Connor and A.J. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
