Incumbents reelected in Lingle, Yoder

GOSHEN COUNTY – Mayors and council people in Lingle and Yoder got the nod to stay in office from the electorate in city voting Tuesday in the two communities.

George Siglin was re-elected to the office of Mayor of the town of Lingle by an almost two-to-one margin over his nearest challenger, Decilla Watson. Siglin received 79 votes to Watson’s 41. Additional challengers for Lingle’s top seat, Della Watson and Russell Walter, each received a single ballot.

Norman Feagler was tapped for another mayoral term in Yoder by almost three-to-one, 31 votes to 11 for his only challenger, Richard Griebe.

In town council elections, in Lingle, incumbent Joe Welte was reelected with 66 votes. The only new face in the elections, Steve Edwardson, received 75 votes and will replace Lingle council member Kelly Greenwald, who opted not to seek reelection this year.

In the Yoder town council election, incumbent Amanda Fogel led the balloting with 36 votes. Bob Oaks received 34 votes and challenger Tom Satery received 12.

Results from the town elections in Fort Laramie were not immediately available.
