Fourth COVID case confirmed in Goshen County

Goshen County – Health officials Friday announced a fourth individual in Goshen County has been confirmed by laboratory tests to have the novel coronavirus that leads to the illness, COVID-19.

The victim was not identified, according to a release from the Goshen County Health Department, beyond being a teenaged female. Exposure to the virus is believed to have occurred out of state, prior to state approval May 5 of countywide variance orders for Goshen County. 

The Wyoming Department of Health is investigating to identify contacts who may be at high risk for exposure, the release said. Public Health continues to recommend following of all preventative measures, including social distancing, hand washing and the use of face masks.
