Five seats up for grabs on EWC board

TORRINGTON – Eastern Wyoming College invites interested Goshen County community members to consider running for a seat on the EWC Board of Trustees.  There are five Trustee terms expiring in 2018. Expiring terms include a representative for Area 1, covering the LaGrange, Iowa Center and Hawk Springs areas; Area 2, representing Huntley, Veteran and Yoder; Area 3 in the Lingle, Fort Laramie and Moore Springs areas, and; Area 4, covering Torrington and Prairie Center. The fifth board seat is an at-large representative, currently occupied by George Nash, who’s indicated plans to retire.

Of the remaining seats, trustees representing Area 1 and Area 2, Dr. Judith Bartmann and Mr. Robert Baumgartner, were recently appointed to fill vacant seats and will be running for election this fall. John Patrick, representing Area 3, will be filing for re-election and currently serves as the Chairman of the EWC Board. 

Interested parties should contact the Goshen County Clerk before Aug. 28 to be placed on the Nov. 6 General Election ballot.
