LINGLE – Lingle-Ft. Laramie High School is pleased to recognize junior Regan Walford and senior Tyler Hunt as “Doggers of the Quarter” for the fourth quarter of the 2016-17 school year.   These students were selected by the LFL faculty based upon their extraordinary work ethic, extracurricular involvement, and leadership.  Both of these students provide strong leadership in multiple areas, setting a high standard for all Lingle-Ft. Laramie students.  They devote the time it takes to be strong academically and balance that with a full schedule of extra-curricular activities.  Regan Walford is actively involved in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and in Art.  She has earned Blue Ribbons at the Wyoming State Art Symposium and first place honors at the Torrington Art Show for her artistry.  Regan will be attending National FBLA for the third consecutive year and was inducted into National Honor Society this spring.  Outside of high school Regan enjoys violin lessons and working at the Fort Laramie Visitor Center.  Although she maintains a busy schedule, she still finds time for her favorite hobbies, which include painting, playing the violin, eating, and sleeping. Regan would like to give a shout out to her friend, Sierra, for their afterschool Pokémon hunts, and to her parents and teachers for being supportive.  Regan is uncertain what she will do after high school, but she is looking forward to being able to travel.
Tyler Hunt, the son of Rob and Torey Hunt, has been actively involved in both indoor and outdoor track throughout his high school career.  He earned State Champion status in the Shot Put in 2016 and 2017. Tyler’s activities outside of high school include working at the Wyoming Theater and watching Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. He would like to thank his sister Jordan, his brother Preston, and his mom and dad for their influence in his life.  Tyler will continue pursuing higher education at Eastern Wyoming College and will then transfer to the University of Wyoming to major in Nursing.
