GOSHEN – Spring 2020 Volleyball workshops have started for K-6 students.
Pairing with EWC Community Education, Chelsi Jackson Torrington High School’s Head Volleyball Coach is teaching the basics of the sport.
The classes are a mix of learning the basics as well as adding a little fun in the mix. The Jan. 25 class’ K-3 kids learned how to pass the ball to a teammate, relay teams to hone their new skills and finish the class with a game of Volleyball tag.
Grades 4-6’s class looked much the same with more emphasis on controlling the ball during the passes.
The following classes will be held Feb. 8 and March 7 and 14 with K-3 from 9-10:15 a.m. and grades 4-6 from 10:15-11:30 a.m. Registration is $40 with drop-ins welcome.
