Breck Shannon, 9, poses with trash he helped collect near his grandmother’s home on Road 47 in Torrington to celebrate Earth Day during his Easter Monday off from school . His grandmother, Dorothy Hacker, said numerous motorists stopped and offered to help haul away the trash, including local resident Tom Feeser who eventually took the bags off Breck’s hands.
