GOSHEN COUNTY - Four young artists have been named the winners in the annual Easter Coloring Contest, co-hosted by the Torrington Telegram and the Easter Bunny.
Each year, the Telegram asks local youth to color their best depiction of an Easter egg, complete with bunnies, for the holiday. The contest is open to children age 12 and younger. The sky’s the limit on what they do and what they use – crayons, magic markers, glitter – all are fair game for the contest.
The winners this year are:
n Emee DeLeon of Torrington;
n Kari Parish of Torrington;
n Jemma Heron of Torrington, and;
n JJ Smith of Torrington.
Each of the winners will receive $10 from the Telegram.
“It’s enjoyable to see all the creativity and imagination these young people put into their entries,” Telegram Editor Andrew D. Brosig said. “This is a great chance for local youth to stretch their budding artistic talents in a fun way.
“And we thank the Easter Bunny for its assistance with this contest.”
