Pumpkin patch kicks off season

LINGLE – Ellis’ Harvest Home kicked off the fall season festivities on Saturday, September 21 during their Adult Night event which featured live music, adult beverages and dinner for patchgoers 21 years of age and older.

The venue, located west of Lingle, offers a corn maze, pumpkin patch and fun for the whole family, according to their website.

“Ellis Harvest Home started as a small hobby pumpkin patch years ago. It began with a few hills of pumpkins for the kids in the family and grew to where we are now, with ten acres,” the site explains. “In 2008, we moved to our current location, which is where the first generations of Ellis’ began, and added the corn maze. We continue to grow a little each year by adding new attractions.”

The family has over 20 years of experience in raising pumpkins, the site explains.

“Ellis Harvest Home has been growing and selling pumpkins for about 20 years, providing a more and larger variety of pumpkins each year. We have big pumpkins, little pumpkins, white pumpkins, warty pumpkins, carving pumpkins, decorative pumpkins and pie pumpkins. We even have pumpkins grown specifically to make pumpkin seeds,” the site explained.

The patch also features a corn maze.

“2024 will be our 17th corn maze. We create a different design each year because every now and then we need to take a new path,” the farm explained. “Along the corn maze, we have a wide array of attractions for people of all ages to enjoy.”

According to the site, the patch is open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sundays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. as well as three Fridays in October. October 11, 18 and 25 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
