SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. – Opportunity is knocking. Open the door to your future in higher education at Western Nebraska Community College (WNCC). With campuses in Alliance, Scottsbluff, and Sidney, WNCC has broken the mold when it comes to a quality education -- offering students a viable, affordable, and more collegiate higher education option.
Academically-talented traditional students and adult learners – from right here in “Wyobraska” and around the globe – have taken the college’s “It’s for Me” motto to heart and opted for a WNCC education with its …

Quality, In-Demand Programs
With 70+ diploma, degree, and certificate options and regularly added new, in-demand programs – like Applied Agriculture, Medical Lab Technology, and Pharmacy Technician, WNCC has something
for everyone.

Advances in Technology
WNCC is proud to be a leader in the region for cutting-edge technologies including the newly acquired Anatomage Table, which provides 3D anatomy visualization in a touchscreen format, and the iWall MultiTaction screen, which allows campus to campus to collaboration and learning, thereby easing the distance-learning gap. In fact, WNCC is the first community college in Nebraska to pilot these technologies!

Eye Towards a Growing Future
WNCC will soon be embarking on the renovation of its Scottsbluff Campus, creating a brand new Performing Arts Center for its acclaimed music programs; a new Welcome Center that is geared with the student in mind that creates an open and welcoming space where all important services like financial aid, counseling, and advising are located together; and a new Learning Commons that serves as a gathering and collaborating space for students where they can come together to study, learn, and socialize in a comfortable,
flexible place.

Personalized Attention
A 13:1 student-to-faculty ratio means more personalized attention from instructors, and more than 70 academic advisors offer students personalized study plans to support them every step of the way.

Affordability
WNCC is a smart investment for the first two years of a student’s degree path, paying a fraction of the tuition university students pay. And financial aid is available for those who qualify.

Flexibility/Transferability
Not only does WNCC serve traditional students interested in earning an associate degree or planning to transfer to a four-year university, the college also offers evening classes – on campus or online – for adult and working students balancing school with family or career obligations.

Traditional College Elements
Like a traditional four-year university, WNCC’s extracurricular activities and student support services provide opportunities in recreation, culture, leadership, and hands-on experience.  Students find their fun by joining clubs, participating in intramurals, attending performing arts events, cheering for the Cougars, and creating lifelong memories with new friends.
When it comes to a college education, transitioning to a new career, or enhancing skills to advance in a job, students looking for the quality and affordability of community college and the “traditional college experience” find best of both worlds at WNCC.
