9:30 a.m. – Guided Tour of “Old Fort Laramie” – The epic story of the American West played out on a grand scale at Fort Laramie. Join a ranger and tour the place that became famous in the annals of history. CavalryBarracks, 90 minutes.

12:30 p.m. – “Historic Weapons Demonstration” – Learn about the effectiveness of the of the 12-pound Mountain Howitzer and become part of an artillery battery on the Northern Great Plains. Commissary Bleachers, 45 minutes.

2:30 p.m. – “The Soldier’s Life on a Frontier Fort” – For the frontier soldier, life could be a struggle with constant duties to meet the demands of daily life on a frontier post. Learn what it took to survive as a soldier in the harsh environment of the Northern Great Plains. Commissary Bleachers, 30 minutes.

3:30 p.m. – “The 10 Wonders of Fort Laramie Architecture” – Life at Fort Laramie was very different than many places around the world. Come learn about the buildings soldiers constructed and the important role they played for the military in the west. Cavalry Barracks, 45 minutes.
