Michael Schuler from the city of Torrington electric department, uses a bucket truck to change out the banners downtown on Main Street on Nov. 1. The new banners, which will be on light poles through the month of November, remember veterans in honor of Veteran's Day, next Monday, Nov. 11. The city-wide observance will include a talk on the stories behind the banners, set for 6 p.m. Monday at 2042 Main Street.
