GOSHEN COUNTY – The vaccine clinic in Goshen County moved from the National Guard Armory to the Pony Express Room in the Lincoln Community Complex (also known as Torrington City Hall) on Thursday, May 6.

Goshen County Public Health Emergency Response Coordinator Heather Saul wanted to thank the armory for allowing them to utilize the facility and thank Mayor Randy Adams for allowing them to move the clinic to the Pony Express Room.

“Goshen County Public Health really appreciates their partnership as we continue our efforts with the vaccine clinics,” Saul said.

On Friday, May 7, Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon issued a directive that would ban state agencies, boards and commissions from requiring vaccine passports to gain access to state spaces and services.

“Vaccine passport programs have the potential to politicize a decision that should not be politicized,” Governor Gordon said. “They would divide our citizens at a time when unity in fighting the virus is essential and harm those who are medically unable to receive the vaccine. While I strongly encourage Wyomingites over the age of 16 to get vaccinated against COVID-19, it is a personal choice based upon personal circumstances.”

According to the release, Governor Gordon also wanted to urge counties, cities and towns in Wyoming to provide access to public spaces and services regardless of whether someone has been vaccinated or not.
