LINGLE – Lingle-Fort Laramie seniors Garrett Cooper and Georgia Wollert earned all-state honors and finished as the 1A Southeast boys and girls player of the year.
Through the regional tournament, Cooper averaged 8.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 2 steals per game. He paced the Doggers in boards and steals. He ranked third in the east and eighth in the state in boards.
Justice Madayag joined Cooper on the all-state list. Not including the state tournament, Madayag averaged 8.6 points, 5 boards, two assists and 1.9 steals per game. He drained 17 three-pointers to lead the Doggers. His two assists per game was the best for any Dogger this winter.
The Doggers had four of the 10, 1A Southeast all-conference players. Ty Mueller and Taylor Wagner earned the all-conference distinction. Mueller took the floor in 19 games this winter through the regional tournament and averaged 9.7 points, 3.3 boards, 1.7 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.6 blocks per contest. He led the Doggers in points and blocks per game. Wagner chipped in 5.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1 steal per game through the regional tournament.

Wollert was the second Dogger to earn conference player of the year. The senior also was named all-state. Through the regional tournament, Wollert averaged 9.9 points, 9.3 boards, 1.4 assists and 4 steals per game. She led LFL in offensive rebounds (3.1), rebounds and steals. Wollert was eighth in the conference in scoring, fifth in rebounding and fifth in steals. She ranked seventh in the state in boards and ninth in steals.
“She is the spark plug for our team. She absolutely plays with heart,” Cornelius said. “Her leadership skills are unmatched. She has a really strong, positive and competitive mentality on and off the court.”
Kaylynn Jefferson joined Wollert on the all-state team, averaging 12.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.9 steals per game before the state tournament. Her marks in scoring and assists led the Lady Doggers. Jefferson ranked fourth in the conference in scoring and sixth in three-point shooting, with 29 percent.
Four of the 1A Southeast all-conference players came from LFL. Jade Cooper and Makenna Greenwald were named all-conference. Cooper took the hardwood in 20 games, racking up 8.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.7 steals and ranked second in the conference and sixth in the state in shooting percentage from behind the arc (33 percent). Greenwald amassed 10.7 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 2.7 steals. She paced LFL in defensive rebounds per game (6.5) and ranked fifth in the conference in scoring and sixth in rebounding.
“These girls played so hard and it’s hard to give individual accolades, but these girls 100 percent deserve it,” Cornelius said. “This team played great team basketball and some of the girls’ stats came from what other girls gave to them. Everybody made everybody better.”
The SEWAC, which includes the southeast 2A schools and includes LFL, voted on all-conference players and Wollert and Greenwald were named SEWAC all-conference.
