SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. – Torrington Trailblazer tennis players Ethan Creagar and Clay Peterson both placed third in their respective divisions Saturday at the Scottsbluff Invitational.
“Several players had stretches on the courts of more than three and a half hours at a time,” coach Lyle Wiley said. “The guys worked hard even through exhaustion… The guys got a ton of good tennis and they continue to get better.”
Creagar posted a 2-2 record in No. 1 singles action to take the bronze.
“He showed a lot of guts out there and had the opportunity to hit a lot of tennis balls,” Wiley said. “Ethan is among the most crafty and intelligent players I’ve coached, and he is improving with every match.”
Peterson competed in No. 2 singles, recording a 3-3 record, even after forfeiting two matches due to injury.
