DOUGLAS – The Torrington Tigers 15-and-under baseball team reached the championship game of a tournament in Douglas over the weekend with four-straight wins.
The Tigers kicked off action with a 15-3 win over host Douglas, before besting Laramie in a 12-6 decision. Rawlins racked up eight runs in the close of Saturday’s game, but Torrington’s 15 runs gave it the 15-8 win.
Heading into Sunday with a 3-0 mark in pool play, the Tigers took on Casper in the semi-finals, winning by a 15-4 margin to advance to the championship game. In the title matchup, Torrington fell to Gillette 10-9.

Torrington now sits with an 8-2 record on the year. The Tigers hosted Glenrock on Tuesday in a double-header after press time. They return to action Thursday at home in a double-header against Laramie at 4 and 6 p.m.
