

Tiger ‘C’ team season comes to a close with a sweep at the hands of Cheyenne; Tigers to miss state this season

CHEYENNE – The Torrington Tiger ‘C’ team wrapped up the 2023 season on Monday evening with a pair of losses to Cheyenne.
The youngest Tiger squad fell 12-0 and 15-1 in a pair of run-ruled losses.
In game one, Torrington recorded one hit and committed 10 errors in a 12-0 loss.
Garrett Hager recorded the team’s only hit in the first inning.
Cheyenne countered with a run to take a 1-0 lead, but the home team scored four in the second, four in the third and three in the fifth to pull away for the victory.
In game two, Cheyenne led early 1-0, but they added four in the second.
The Tigers scored their only run of the game in the second when a balk call brought home Paxtyn Rude.
Cheyenne added nine runs in the third and one in the fourth inning.

The Tiger season ends with a 7-19 record.
