TORRINGTON – The Torrington Tiger C-SE squad was run-ruled twice on Wednesday night at Jirdon Park by the Laramie Rangers.
In game one, Laramie did most of its damage in the top of the fifth inning with eight runs, handing the Tigers a 13-3 loss.
After a scoreless first inning, Laramie got on the scoreboard first in the top of the second. They added one more in the third before plating three runs in the fourth. They capped off the game with eight in the fifth.
For Torrington, the Tigers were limited to three hits in the loss. All three of the team’s runs came in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Colter McFarlin, Beaux Shimic and Spencer Booth tallied the three hits and scored the three runs in the fifth inning.
Ty Albaugh was tagged with the loss, pitching four innings, striking out five.
In game two, Laramie jumped on Torrington early with five runs in the top of the first en route to a 18-0 victory for the visitors.
Laramie added eight runs in the third and five more in the fourth.
Albaugh, Rhett Clarke and Colby Sandusky tallied one hit apiece in the shutout.
Sandusky was credited with the loss, throwing two innings, striking out two.
The Tigers fall to 6-16 on the season and wrap up the regular season at home on Saturday against the Cheyenne Post 6 Indians. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Jirdon Park.
