TORRINGTON – Tickets are still available for the upcoming performance by the United States Air Force Band and Singing Sergeants vocal group at Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington.
The USAF Band and Singing Sergeants will perform as part of their nine-day community relations tour at the Fine Arts Auditorium on the EWC campus beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 9. The concert is free but, due to limited seating, tickets are required.
Louis Russ with the local VFW post will be on the EWC campus today (Friday, March 1) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. near the cafeteria in Verl Petsch Jr. Activity Center with tickets.
The concert tour is designed to honor veterans around the country. This will be the only Wyoming performance this year, with additional performances scheduled in Colorado and across Nebraska and Iowa.
“Music can bring people and communities together regardless of language or cultural barriers,” said Col. Don Schofield, commander and conductor of the USAF Band. “It enables communication across these barriers and allows us to connect with people all over the world as we share the most positive aspects of American culture.”
The USAF Band and Singing Sergeants are two of six performing ensembles within the Air Force, stationed at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, D.C.
