UPDATE: Severe thunderstorm warning for LaGrange/Hawk Springs issued until 5 p.m. 60 mph winds and quarter-size hail; vehicle damage expected from hail, wind damage to trees, roofs and siding. Storm on radar 30 miles south of Torrington moving east at 25 mph.
UPDATE: The National Weather Service has updated significant weather advisories for portions of Goshen, Laramie and Platte counties until 4:15 p.m. today (Friday).
At 3:32 p.m., doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10 miles south of Chugwater, moving north at 15 miles per hour. Nickel-sized hail and wind gusting to 55 mph will be possible with this storm.. Areas of potential impact include Chugwater and portions of Interstate 25.
A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 9 p.m. for southeastern Wyoming
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for portions of western Goshen and southeastern Platte counties until 3:30 p.m.
At 2:37, a severe thunderstorm was located by radar 17 miles south of Wheatland, moving northeast at 35 miles per hour. The storm projection indicates the possibility of 60 mph winds and up to half-dollar size hail, with the potential for hail damage to vehicles and wind damage to roofs, siding and trees.
Impacted locations include Chugwater and Slater and portions of Interstate 25 between mile markers 55 and 68.
