THS student brings BB gun to school

TORRINGTON – Wednesday, a Torrington High School student brought a BB gun to school, Torrington Police Department Chief Douglas Weeks confirmed Thursday morning. The BB gun reportedly was in the student’s backpack in the school’s parking lot, Weeks said. Officials declined to release additional information at this time.

Goshen Schools Superintendent Jean Chrostoski said the incident occurred in the parking lot and was referred to the police department. School policy will be followed based upon the results of the TPD’s investigation. The student is a minor and any additional information by the school would be in violation of the Student Records Act.
