BUFFALO – The Torrington High School golf team didn’t have any place in the top 10 at the Buffalo Invite on Thursday and Friday.
It was a tournament loaded with 4A schools, including Thunder Basin, Campbell County, Natrona County and Sheridan, including five to six 3A teams.
Junior Gage Gibson led the boys’ team with rounds of 85 and 96 for a two-day total of 181. Alex Waring shot a 105 and 89 for a 194, while Josh Stitt finished the weekend of 198, including rounds of 104 and 94. Mason Wilkes shot a 222 with rounds of 104 and 118.
In the girls’ division, senior Sydney Eaton shot a 106 and 118 for a 224, while Lauren Orr shot a 123 and 122 for a 245. Kaylee Pittman fired a 266 with rounds of 126 and 140, while Madyson Banister was a shot off Pittman with a 267. Carleigh Dugger shot a 268 with rounds of 139 and 129.
The Blazers are scheduled to be back in action at the 3A East Conference Tournament on Sept. 9-10 in Douglas.
