CASPER – The Torrington High School cross country team was back in action Thursday at the annual Glen Legler Memorial Invite in Casper in a predominantly 4A meet.
THS sophomore Aydan Loya paced the Blazers with a 28th-place finish in 19 minutes, 18.15 seconds, while junior Kyland Fuller finished just seconds behind in 29th in 10:21.2. Junior Weston Cronk placed 31st in 20:02.17, and senior Timothy Randolph was 35th in 20:45.13.
The Blazers didn’t record a team score, but Sheridan won the team title with 18 points, while Kelly Walsh was second with 52.
In the girls’ division, freshman Ada Merrigan was the lone Lady Blazer to compete. She finished 19th in 22:28.26.
In the junior varsity race, Myles Wilson placed 19th in 21:05.16 in the boys’ race, while sophomore Amberly Froerer finished 14th in 24:50.41 in the girls’ event. Kyndra Wiford was 24th in 27:44.56.
The Blazer runners are back in action on Thursday in Bayard, Neb.
