The Lady Blazers topped the competition by 54 strokes over the two-day event.

TORRINGTON – The Torrington High School girls golf team dominated the Torrington Invitational over the weekend.
The Lady Blazers topped the competition by 54 strokes over the two-day event.
As a team, the Torrington girls fired a 550, while Cheyenne Central was second with a 604. Kelly Walsh was third with a 640.
Torrington had four Lady Blazers in the top 10.
Leading the way for the Lady Blazers was Caleigh Essert with 157 to win the individual title. Cheyenne Central’s Jennifer Gillotti was the closest competitor with a 194.
Kaylee Wilson was third with a 195, while Laura Halley was fifth with a 202. Jade Reinhart was seventh with a 205, while Jenna Kaufman was eighth with a 206.
In the boys’ division, Jordan Malm placed fourth with a 151, finishing tied with Tristen Zitek of Cheyenne East.
Malm was the lone Blazer to finish in the top 10.
Bodie Herring finished the weekend with a 196, while Malachi Braddy shot a 197. Ryder Hackbarth shot a 202, while Hayden Herron rounded out Torrington’s scoring with a 204.
As a team, the Blazers finished fourth with a 746. Cheyenne East won the team title with a 606, while Cheyenne Central was second with 652. Douglas was third with a 698.
The Blazers wrap up the regular season this weekend at the Rawlins Invite on Thursday and Friday.
